Student Internship Program
The LDAF Student Internship Program allows students to gain valuable work experience in the fields of agriculture, forestry, and other related fields.
Students will have the opportunity to work full-time during June and July for eight weeks. Applications are being accepted from December 1 until February 28, or until all positions are filled. The selected Students will be hired to work in LDAF Divisions which include the Office of Management & Finance, Agriculture & Environmental Services, Animal Health & Food Safety, Forestry, Soil & Water Conservation, Agro-Consumer Services, and related areas.
Selected students must be in good academic standing with a GPA of 2.5 or above, be an undergraduate junior or senior enrolled in an accredited college or university, and classified as a full-time student the spring semester before the summer of employment. Students will earn a salary commensurate with their academic level and assigned area.
Send completed SF-10D ( Student Employment Application ) and an official transcript to the LDAF, Recruiting Office, Human Resources, 5825 Florida Blvd. Suite 1001, Baton Rouge, LA 70806.

Louisiana Civil Service administers three written tests on a continuous basis. Depending on the position you'd like to apply for, you will need to complete at least one in order to begin applying for open jobs. Once you take the required test and obtain a score, it will be available to state agencies whenever you apply for a job.
